I love fall. My birthday is in the fall, Thanksgiving–my favorite holiday–is in the fall. I love the excessive beauty just before the frost, and end-of-season tomatoes allowed to ripen in a brown paper bag. Or cooked up as a delicious treat: Fried Green Tomatoes.

But fall is also often a time of transition–both with your health and your life. Chronic health problems may flare up and if you are making some big changes with your work life, experiencing the empty nest for the first time or facing your first holiday season without a loved one, this season might bring up grief or sadness, too.
Regardless, this is a great time of year to practice self-care; get a massage (or trade with a friend), walk in the leaves with the sun shining on your back, journal about how to keep the holidays simple while enjoying a cup of ginger or green tea.
